On Tuesday, 8 November, within the first Bootcamp of the IDEM project located in Campus Nord of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, El món de prop has performed a visual disability awareness activity.
The Bootcamp is a meeting and co-creation space between different universities in Europe (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Aalto University, Universidade de Lisboa, Grenoble INP-UGA i Technische Universitat Darmstadt) to prototype solutions on the subject of self-excluding students from under-represented groups in the field of student mobility. Eva Vendrell Sarroca, a member of the IDEM project and organizer of the Bootcamp, have contacted el Món de prop in order to carry out an activity within the framework of visual accessibility.
Therefore, El món de prop has turned two classrooms of the Vértex building, situated in the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, into a cinema and a cafeteria where performing these activities has becomed a obstacle course.
Apart from the success of the day, this time the association has reached a new challenge due to the different nationalities of the attendees: It has done the activities in English!
